Kids Ballet Dance Classes
If your child has always wanted to put on ballet slippers and learn ballet, let’s get started! Classes for younger dancers will also include creative movement and imagination. What are Creative Arts Dance Center kids ballet classes like?
Fall 2024 - After School
Preschool Dance
Ages: 3-6
When: Tuesdays, 4:30-5:10pm
Cost: $45 for four weeks
Location: Holmen, WI
Four weeks of a great beginner intro to dance! We will try many styles of dance including ballet and creative movement.
Your student will have a blast learning the five positions of ballet, as well as other foundational elements of different dance styles.
What to wear:
Feet: Socks or ballet slippers on feet
Clothes: Tights, leotard and skirt OR T-shirt and leggings, something they feel comfortable to move in!
We separate classes into monthly options so your family can try something new! Each month the students will learn new curriculum. To get the most out of the experience we recommend all 3 months! There will be an informal show at the end of the program for those who would like to participate.
Elementary Dance
Ages: Elementary Schoolers
When: Mondays, 5:15pm-6pm
Cost: $50 for four weeks
Location: Holmen, WI
Four weeks of a great beginner intro to dance! We will try many styles of dance including ballet and creative movement and age-appropriate hip hop.
Your student will have a blast learning the basics of groove, body awareness, and musicality all while dancing and having fun!
What to wear:
Feet: Socks and tennis shoes on feet
Clothes: T-shirt and sweatpants or leggings, something they feel comfortable to move in!
Fall 2024 - Homeschool / During Day

When: Fridays, 9-9:45am
Cost: $40 for four weeks

A great preschool intro to dance! We will try many styles of dance including ballet and creative movement.

Kids Hip Hop Dance Classes
Hip hop is a culture, not just a style of dance. The base of hip hop is groove - moving to the music! Learning groove will help kids be lifelong movers and dancers. High energy and fun, hip hop will be sure be a highlight of the week!

Four weeks of age-appropriate hip hop. We will explore various street styles, including tutting, popping, waving, breaking, and more. The focus will be on learning hip hop grooves, rocks, and bounces. Class will always be high-energy, fun, and full of dance!

Clothes: T-shirt and sweatpants or leggings, something they feel comfortable to move in!
Middle & High School Dance
Ages: Middle School & High School
When: Tuesdays, 7:05-8:05pm
Cost: $40 for four weeks
Location: Holmen, WI
Four weeks of dance! Excellent for beginners. We will try many styles of dance including ballet and Hip Hop (emphasis is placed on Hip Hop, which includes jumping, bouncing, kicking, rocking.)
Your student will have a blast learning the foundations of dance. We will also learn the foundational elements of ballet.
What to wear:
Feet: Socks and tennis shoes.
Clothes:Athletic Wear. Something they feel comfortable moving in!

Kids Songwriting Classes
Songwriting is going to be SO FUN! Learn to write song lyrics and put them to simple chords and melody. Each student will create at least one song of their own! We will learn verse/chorus song structure, rhyme, syllable counting, and more.

Learn how to express yourself through writing music. We will focus on the fun basics of music theory, how to cultivate a creative process, learn poetic devices, and practice lyric writing! All students will practice creating and recording songs of their own!
Kids Piano Classes
We teach the underlying concepts of playing the piano. The music theory that creates every song we know. First, we learn how to identify notes, what makes a scale, and what makes a chord. Once we understand chords, we learn the basic chord progressions that make up most songs and music. We practice rhythm, learning different beats and how to put them on the piano.
People actually see results extremely fast using this method, and then they get to the part they love - making music - before they get bored and quit.
Once people feel they can express their emotions through an instrument, it's magical.

Piano Class
Ages: 5+

Cost: $50 for entire month
Location: Holmen, WI
Come learn piano in a group format. We will learn how to read notes, understand the piano, and create chords! A great introduction to playing the piano!
Four weeks, four Thursdays a month for 40 minutes of piano in an interactive group format. Space is limited.

Cost: $25 / per half hour
or $80/month for 4 lessons
Location: Holmen, WI (can travel to you for added charge)
I also offer group piano sessions from time to time to keep learning the piano more affordable. Keep an eye on the website for new upcoming sessions.
Kids Music Video Making Classes
It's time to create a piece that will last!
One of the highlights of the year is music video making week in the summer. Students work collaboratively to create a storyboard and film a dance to music.
